Churches of San Diego Countywide Homegrown Praise/Worship Music Network, Concert and Evangelistic

Ministry Outreach Strategy and Theme Letter

1. Plan and calender evangelistic concerts at venues in the county that can facilitate amplified music and room for large attendance.

2. This Network is interdenominational and open to all with a heart to worship and praise our Lord.

3. This Network is an "all ages" outreach and represents all music genre's that will allow us to "cater" events for various age groups

    and music tastes.

4. This Network has an ongoing affiliation with "Spirit West Coast" and includes all of the bands and solo artists that performed at

the Spirit West Coast festival 2008 in Del Mar on either the "Homegrown Praise Stage or Good News Stages.

5. This Network is connected to the "WS Internet Radio Network" and features the original christian recordings of San Diego County

worship and praise artists for one hour every Saturday from 10 am to 11 am with the "Homegrown Praise" Show. This is broadcast

over the internet giving the songs World Wide exposure.

6. This Network has affiliations with the National Network of Youth Ministries San Diego which has approximately 200 youth ministers

from all parts of the county and are invited to use these concerts as tools to gather their youth and the youth of nearby churches

and provide approx. 10 minutes for each youth pastor to address the gathering in between bands and lead prayer, introduce

themselves and the church they minister at, make announcements and whatever else the Lord lays on their hearts at the time.

7. Because of the ongoing affilliation with Spirit West Coast, this Network also has relationships with the evangelism teams we trained

through local churches for SWC 2008 Del Mar. These represent teams already trained for evangelism which can be engaged to lead

   concert attendees to the Lord.

8. This Network may consider doing joint partnerships with local christian media and parachurch outreaches to help with these

events. Partnerships may include C-28, Homegrown Praise, Christian Examiner, KPRZ, The Good News ect. Christian News

publication, BlueChowder. com, Outreach International, and Spirit West Coast, for examples.

9. After several meetings, ongoing conference calls and 2 "Bread and Jams", we have formulated a concert strategy that seeks to

bless and build up our local churches, worship and praise ministers, and Senior Pastors.

                                                                    General Outline Concert Strategy:

A. Identify local church affiliations from among our existing and growing group of interdenominational worship teams and determine

which of these church facilities is suitable for an evangelistic concert and includes the full knowledge and blessings of the Senior

Pastor and other Pastors directly involved.

B. Understand that the overall theme of these events is to unify the Body of Christ in a countywide, interdenominational, all ages,

all musical forms fashion and each event can be catered according to location and musical tastes. For example: A youth concert

featuring hip hop, rap, r&b, and soul.

C. One of our goals is to provide opportunities for local churches to outreach into their local community and benefit from our wealth

of resources to uplift and build up the Church. The host church praise team will do a set of music as one of 4 groups. 2 teams from

churches closest to the host will each do a set, and one group will be a composite group made up from our network of musicians

and singers, worship and praise teams.

D. In between sets, Pastors will be provided an opportunity to share words with the assembly, for approx. 10 to 12 minutes.

E. At the end of the music program, one of the Pastors will lead an alter call and any new decisions for Christ will be directed

to the pastors in attendance and evangelism teams and hopefully get involved and planted in a local church.

This general outline can be modified according to individual circumstances and combined with other functions

such as food drives, fund raising, service to the community, and other events, celebrations, and gatherings.

           Brief Historical Perspective:

Caz Taylor and Bill Gruber have been doing an internet radio show called "Homegrown Praise" with the WS Radio Network

that features local San Diego County christian musicians and singers original song recordings once a week on Saturdays from 10am

to 11am for several years now and archived the shows going back to 2005. In 2008, Caz and Bill were hired as "Public Relations"

liasons for San Diego Churches and Spirit West Coast and for the first time provided stages for local San Diego County christian

music artists to perform live. A total of 177 local musicians and singers performed on either the "Homegrown Praise" or the

"Good News" stages over the 3 day event. Also a new feature for SWC 2008 was "San Diego Church Night" which came about

due to a renewed effort by Spirit West Coast to connect the festival event's vision to local church leadership and spiritually

impact the local church in a manner not experienced since the festival's local beginnings in 2004. Since this event, Caz Taylor has

been instrumental in gathering the local praise teams into a unified group that shares the vision of unifying the body of Christ

using music events and all of our resources as tools.
